Embracing Our True Selves on Women's Day

The trending picture of a woman with eight hands,

Is not a reality, it's not how she stands.

On this Women's Day, let's take a pause,

And shatter some myths, and take a new cause

We need not do it all, we need not be perfect,

We're human after all, and we have our own effect,

Let's accept that we have only two hands,

And our men lend us theirs, to make us stand.

It's smart to ask for help, to seek some support,

With household and professional work, let's not distort,

Our abilities by trying to do it all alone,

Let's reach out for help, let's make it known.

For we are not weak, nor are we frail,

We are strong, and we do prevail,

But we don't have to be superwomen,

We can be ourselves, and still be stunning.

So let's embrace our true selves,

And let go of societal shelves,

Let's ask for help, let's seek support,

And let's celebrate the women of every sort.
